jedi's coffin was made of pine wood by my dear friend maryann marshall's husband, joe. he did such a beautiful job- i hated to mar the work with crayons and markers but i felt that it would be a good theraputic step to have all the kids write messages of love on the coffin. the cousins stepped in and it was so good for me to see them all huddled together- to read their messages- he was their cousin. they accepted him without a blink. he was one of them. it will be a memory that i cherish for a long long time.
I was going to ask you where you got it from. As soon as Scott saw it he said oh that is homemade with love. It was so beautiful. The whole Mass, reception, people, were so beautiful just like Jedi!

May the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding be with you.
ReplyDeleteI think that is so beautiful and very special.
ReplyDeleteAmong the many impressions and images that came to me as I built little Jedidiah's coffin was of many young hands decorating it. I'm so glad it came true. Joe Marshall
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, it is always good to see you at church. Thank you for giving my son, Liam your blogspot address this past Sunday. I have spent the past two days reading your posts. Thank you for allowing my husband Mike and I to be a part of you and your family's experience via your blog. I am humbled beyond words. Jedi was and is such a beautiful miracle. What a testament to the strength of the Holy Spirit. I only wish that the doctor's and nurses who cared for Jedi had been filled with the Holy Spirit too. God chose the perfect family to bring Jedi into this world if only for such a brief time. What a gift. I will keep you in prayer daily. May God's grace and comfort sustain you during this very difficult time.
ReplyDeleteIn Christ's Love, Denise and Mike.
